Civil Structural Engineer

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer with 10+ years of civil/structural experience. The candidate must have diversified knowledge of design engineering principles and practices and make independent decisions on significant design engineering problems or methods. Strong project management skills are essential, including the ability to plan, execute, and deliver projects within scope and budget.

Responsibilities

• Work with a talented team of civil/structural engineers and designers to drive excellence in every project and secure infrastructure-enhancing initiatives.
• Oversee the preparation and administration of contract documents and client correspondence.
• Review all civil/structural design documentation to ensure high accuracy, constructability, and compliance with relevant standards.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and emotional intelligence skills.
• Communicate with various levels of management, create and manage budgets, and report on project progress.
• Design various foundation systems, steel, concrete, and masonry-framed buildings and structures.
• Participate in the development of project design concepts and criteria.
• Represent projects at meetings.
• Plan, organize, and supervise design engineering activities for large or multiple moderate-sized projects.
• Provide conceptual design input for preliminary project estimates.
• Implement changes and direct training as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Registered as a Licensed Professional Engineer.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Advanced Steel or other 3D design software.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug testing.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Ability to interact professionally and courteously with diverse stakeholders.
