As a CSA Construction Technical Services Specialist Lead, you will work on world-class data center projects—a rapidly growing and innovative sector. This position offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow in data center construction, even without prior experience in this specific area. You’ll be at the forefront of technology infrastructure development, gaining insights into the systems powering our digital world.

This role is located at our project in Corpus Christi, TX, and provides exposure to cutting-edge technologies and innovative construction techniques, positioning you for career growth in the construction and technology sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance in resolving in-progress issues, discrepancies, or disputes related to technical interpretation of drawings and specifications.
  • Clarify and expedite home office/responsible engineer(s) responses to meet project needs in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with home office engineering, outside engineering firms, and client representatives.
  • Provide on-site technical support in interpreting engineering-released documents, specifications, and drawings, including input to the change management process.
  • Engage in the permitting process and work with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
  • Collaborate with Design-Build contractors once their efforts move to the field.
  • Effectively communicate with subcontractors to ensure receipt and management of all key drawings and documents in a revision-controlled manner.
  • Lead the construction document management process, providing oversight and guidance through a construction document control lead.
  • Act as a technically competent lead in response to contractor requests for specification deviations, working within the project-approved process.
  • Work with Field Quality, contractors, and Home Office Engineering to resolve Nonconformities (NCRs).
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to your team toward meeting project objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Civil/Structural/Architectural engineering or 15-20 years in construction management for heavy-industrial process facilities, including life sciences and data centers.
  • Heavy emphasis in Structural engineering.
  • Understanding of construction-oriented means, methods, codes, and standards.
  • Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction purposes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience, including certified technical training.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read and understand Civil/Structural/Architectural engineering drawings.
