Civil/Structural/Arch Construction Technical Services Lead (Data Centers)

You will be located at our project in Corpus Christi, TX. This position provides a chance to expand your skillset in data center construction, exposing you to cutting-edge technologies and innovative techniques, positioning you at the forefront of this dynamic industry.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance in resolving in-progress issues, discrepancies, or disputes related to technical interpretation of drawings and specifications.
- Clarify and expedite home office/responsible engineer(s) responses to meet project needs in a timely manner.
- Liaise with home office engineering, outside engineering firms, and client representatives.
- Provide on-site technical support in interpreting engineering-released documents, specifications, and drawings, including input to the change management process.
- Engage in the permitting process and interact with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs).
- Work with Design-Build contractors once their efforts move to the field.
- Effectively communicate with subcontractors to manage key drawings and documents in a revision-controlled manner.
- Lead the construction document management process, providing oversight and guidance through a construction document control lead.
- Act as a technically competent lead in response to contractor requests for specification deviations, working within the approved process.
- Work with Field Quality, contractors, and Home Office Engineering to resolve Nonconformities (NCRs).
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to your team to meet project objectives.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in Civil/Structural/Architectural engineering or 15-20 years’ experience in construction management for heavy-industrial process facilities, including life sciences and data centers.
- Heavy emphasis in Structural engineering.
- Understanding of construction-oriented means, methods, codes, and standards.
- Experience interpreting home office engineering documents for construction purposes.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience, including certified technical training.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand Civil/Structural/Architectural engineering drawings.
