Civil/Structural Analyst

About the Role

Civil/Structural Analyst opportunity to support the Savannah River Site. Work Location: Aiken, SC. Application Deadline: 08/26/26 (by Noon ET).

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced structural analyses of various structures to validate their design adequacy for normal operation and accident loading conditions.
• Perform advanced structural analytical capabilities including: Seismic Soil-Structure Interaction (SSI); dynamic seismic analysis (response spectra and time-history); development of in-structure seismic response spectra; and evaluate structural responses for tornado winds, missile penetration, precipitation (rain, flood, snow), and explosion (blast/detonation and deflagration).

Education & Qualifications

• MS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, or BS Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and current registration as a Professional Engineer in either Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of eight (8) years' experience in the design and analysis of nuclear or industrial facilities.
• Working knowledge of STAAD, ANSYS, ABAQUS, SASSI, DYNA3D or similar computer codes.
• Sound working knowledge of National Codes and Standards such as IBC, AISC (ASD, LRFD, & N690), ASCE, ACI (318 & 349).
• Ability to perform field walk-downs of structural systems.
• Must be a US Citizen.
