Civil Staff Engineer - St. Louis

Essential Duties

• Prepares engineering plans utilizing AutoCAD/Revit or similar design platforms.
• Affords assistance in the production of final construction drawings, details, and specifications.
• Produces reports and calculations based on assigned project(s), including assessments, analysis, opinions of cost, and other key components.
• Affords assistance to project managers as needed.
• Affords assistance with client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
• Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
• Might perform site investigations and inspections in the field during and post construction.
• Attends client and public meetings as needed.
• Participates in and conducts research on local regulations based on project location(s).
• Participates in business development efforts as requested.
• Provides technical oversight for the Department.
• Provides directions to Project Managers and senior project staff to ascertain coordination, completeness, and accuracy of critical technical requirements.
• Demonstrates the potential or ability to lead technical efforts as part of the overall design process.
• Follows and abides by the DMA employee and safety manuals.
• Completes other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Holds a bachelor's degree.
• Has 1+ years of Civil Engineering experience, including internships.
• Successfully passed the FE exam.
