Civil Rights Specialist

Job Summary

The Arizona Department of Transportation (ADOT) is seeking a professional to drive the future of transportation with a diverse and innovative team. This position is responsible for implementing and monitoring ADOT’s external federal civil rights programs mandated by the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), the Federal Transit Administration (FTA), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), the National Highway Transportation Administration (NHTSA), and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

Job Duties

• Implementing, monitoring, and ensuring ADOT’s compliance with its federal external civil rights mandated requirements.
• Develop and refine processes as needed to continuously improve.
• Oversee compliance activities to ensure that divisions, facilities, local governments, sub-recipients, grantees, cons/contractors receiving federal funds from ADOT and private businesses under contract or agreement are performing services/activities in compliance in accordance with federal and state rules, regulations and laws.
• Selective Preference(s): A minimum of two or more years working experience in applying principles and practices in civil rights or compliance.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Valid Driver's License.
