Civil Project Manager/Senior Project Manager - Water & Wastewater

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned projects and develop assigned client accounts.
• Lead marketing and client development efforts, ensuring technical quality, profitability, schedule adherence, project staff coordination, client communications, scope and fee negotiations, billing, and assistance with fee collection and client follow‑up maintenance.
• Maintain superior relationships with clients, cross‑sell Timmons Group services beyond direct expertise, and maintain ongoing communication with the Group Leader.
• Oversee multiple mid‑sized projects and several smaller projects simultaneously.
• Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and internal design teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with equivalent work experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Virginia and/or other states where Timmons Group conducts business.
• 6–10 years of experience in civil engineering related to water/wastewater or infrastructure markets.

Skills

• Design and manage project components using office software, modeling, and CADD technology; perform engineering calculations.
• Prepare specification materials by researching equipment catalogs to specify materials, installation, inspection, and payment items for projects.
• Assist in preparing engineering and construction cost estimates.
• Effective communication with clients, staff, and internal design teams.

Pay

Estimated salary range: $90,000 – $140,000, based on internal equity, experience, skills, education, credentials, and role complexity.
