Civil Project Manager/Senior Project Manager - Water & Wastewater

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned projects and develop assigned client accounts, ensuring technical quality, profitability, schedule adherence, and effective staff coordination.
• Lead marketing and client development efforts, negotiate scopes and fees, handle billing and fee collection assistance, and perform client follow‑up maintenance.
• Maintain superior relationships with clients, cross‑sell Timmons Group services beyond direct expertise, and maintain ongoing communication with the Group Leader.
• Oversee several mid‑sized projects and multiple small projects simultaneously.
• Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and internal design teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with equivalent work experience.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration in Virginia and/or other states where Timmons Group conducts business.
• 6–10 years of experience in civil engineering related to Water/Wastewater or Infrastructure markets.
• Proficiency with office software, modeling, and CADD technology; ability to perform engineering calculations.
• Experience preparing specification materials using research and equipment catalogs.
• Ability to assist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates.
• High energy, creative, flexible, patient, self‑starter attitude; capable of working at a dynamic pace.

Pay

Estimated salary range: $90,000 – $140,000, based on factors such as internal equity, experience, skills, education, credentials, and role complexity.
