About the role
A PALA Project Manager is the leader and primary focal point of the construction project. Each PALA Project Manager is expected to be the driving force over his/her projects ensuring success by leading with a great attitude, preparing team members properly, and being an ambassador for PALA to our Clients.
Essential Functions
- Upholds the highest standard for safety, quality, and professionalism for employees, co-workers, and Clients.
- Serves as the point of contact on assigned projects between PALA and Clients.
- Assists Project Supervisors in any/all aspects of project execution with a focus primarily on administrative duties.
- Works with various departments within PALA (e.g. Engineering, Project Services, Equipment, Accounting, etc.) to verify each group has been setup to successfully do their part on the projects.
- Reviews and prepares reports for both internal and external distribution.
- Responsible for cost control and reporting on all assigned projects utilizing PALA construction software.
- Affords assistance in problem solving to make sure the project continually moves forward in the correct manner.
- Works with other Project Managers for resource allocation as project manpower fluctuates and projects complete.
Position Requirements
- A positive attitude and the ability to work productively with others in a fast pace setting to achieve a common goal.
- A Construction Management/Engineering degree and/or at least 5 years of Project Management experience for heavy industrial construction.
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft office.
