About the role
Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer, PE to join our Water Resources team in our Jefferson office. This is a fantastic chance to work with a talented team of professionals and make a lasting impact on the communities we serve.
Responsibilities
- Performs detailed design computations
- Performs preliminary layout, modeling and design
- Researches and prepares rough drafts of preliminary reports and feasibility studies
- Affords assistance with project design and preparation of plans and specifications and prepare cost and quantity take-off estimates
- Affords assistance with plan reviews, storm water pollution prevention plans, design of storm water facilities, storm water detention and retention design, water quality design, and storm water management planning
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Water Resources, Biosystems, or Agricultural Engineering from an accredited college or university
- Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.)
- 4+ years' progressive experience in the civil engineering field, including hydraulic and hydrologic modeling
- Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Microstation, GeoPAK Drainage, HydroCAD, P8 and GIS
Qualifications
- High capacity for self-motivation
- Ability to apply engineering and water resources knowledge to a variety of projects
- Strong relationships with clients and staff from various agencies
