Civil Project Engineer - Land Development

About the role

We are seeking a Civil Project Engineer to join our dynamic Land Development team in any of our Florida offices (Tampa, Orlando, Maitland, Sanford, Jacksonville). The Civil Project Engineer supports project management activities by providing technical and administrative support throughout the project’s lifecycle, assisting with project planning, design, and execution while gaining hands-on experience in best engineering practices and project management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the development of project plans, including the scope of work, timeframe, and budget.
• Prepare and maintain documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
• Conduct inspections and quality control to maintain high standards.
• Conduct research and analysis to support project design and development.
• Ensure the design and engineering work complies with industry standards and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation and evaluation of proposals.
• Ensure projects comply with engineering standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
• Prepare and/or present progress reports, including updates on project status.
• Design and development of engineering solutions, including drafting and drawings.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• 4+ years of experience with site design/land development projects; experience with commercial projects is a plus.
• Hands-on experience with Civil 3D, Grading, Drainage, and ICPR highly preferred.
• EI/EIT Certification required; PE would be a major plus.
