Civil Project Engineer II/III
About the role
Timmons Group is seeking a Civil Project Engineer II/III to join our Land Development team in Staunton, VA. The role involves site development engineering and project management for residential, commercial, and public land development projects. Candidates should have experience with site civil design, permitting, and software applications including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
Responsibilities
- Design portions of a project using relevant office software, modeling, and Civil 3D technology
- Complete calculations using engineering formulas and skills and/or utilize computers to solve problems
- Prepare specifications and materials through research and manufacturing catalogs
- Complete design details and plan sets
- Perform research and write objective summary reports for project completion or inspection
- Assist in the preparation of engineering and construction cost estimates
- Complete field observation, inspection, and data collection duties as directed by senior engineering staff
- Communicate with client staff and internal design team as directed by senior engineering staff
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field
- Two to ten years of experience in civil engineering; EIT preferred
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D required

Pay
Salary range for this position is $82,000–$90,000, with eligibility for straight-time overtime. Offers are based on internal equity, experience, skills, education, credentials, and role complexity.
