Civil Project Engineer

About the role

Neel-Schaffer is seeking a Civil Project Engineer to join their growing engineering firm based in Laurel, MS. The ideal candidate will contribute to the planning, design, and delivery of municipal, water/wastewater, and site civil engineering projects. Responsibilities include working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, assisting with project management responsibilities, and supporting project execution from concept through construction.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Licensed Professional Engineer in Mississippi or the ability to obtain within 6 to 12 months, preferred.
• 5+ years of experience with technical work and project management in the field of Water/Wastewater, Municipal or Site Civil.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to plan and conceptualize.
• The ability to produce technical reports and memorandums that are clear, concise, and accurate.
• The ability to communicate effectively during day-to-day interactions with teaming partners, colleagues, and clients.
• Experience with AutoCAD (and/or Civil 3D) and ArcGIS is advantageous.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
