About the role
The Civil Project Engineer supports project management activities by providing technical and administrative support throughout the project’s lifecycle. This role involves assisting with project planning, design, and execution while gaining hand-on experience in best engineering practices and project management.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the development of projects plans, including the scope of work, timeframe, and budget.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Conduct inspections and quality control to maintain high standards.
- Conduct research and analysis to support project design and development.
- Ensure the design and engineering work complies with industry standards and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and evaluation of proposals.
- Ensure the projects comply with engineering standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
- Prepare and/or present progress reports, including updates on project status.
- Design and develop engineering solutions, including drafting, and drawings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
- 2+ years of experience with site design projects; experience with municipal projects is a plus
- Hands-on experience with Civil 3D, Grading, Drainage, and ICPR
- EI/EIT Certification required
