Duties And Responsibilities
- Aid Project Manager and Civil Superintendent in field support.
- Understand contractual obligations with clients and Herzog Contracting Corp.
- Review and log shop drawings; assist with submittals and RFI's.
- Code materials, labor, and equipment.
- Procure and deliver materials to the project.
- Process material submittals and requests for information.
- Support subcontract administration.
- Acquire and assist with construction-related permits.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Construction Management, Civil Engineering degree or equivalent heavy civil construction experience preferred.
- Railroad Construction experience a plus.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Motivated and able to work with a team.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; Procore experience a plus.
Pre-Employment Requirements
- Background check and motor vehicle report review.
- Valid driver’s license and endorsements as required.
- Medical evaluation and drug screen.
- Required safety certification and testing annually.
Physical Requirements
- Primarily works in an office environment.
- Frequent sitting for extended periods.
- Frequent use of a computer keyboard and office equipment.
- Occasional standing, walking, lifting, stooping, or bending.
- Must pass color/vision examinations.
- Must be able to hear and distinguish auditory signals.
