Civil Project Engineer

Duties And Responsibilities

• Aid Project Manager and Civil Superintendent in field support.
• Understand contractual obligations with clients and Herzog Contracting Corp.
• Review and log shop drawings; assist with submittals and RFI's.
• Code materials, labor, and equipment.
• Procure and deliver materials to the project.
• Process material submittals and requests for information.
• Support subcontract administration.
• Acquire and assist with construction-related permits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Construction Management, Civil Engineering degree or equivalent heavy civil construction experience preferred.
• Railroad Construction experience a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Motivated and able to work with a team.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; Procore experience a plus.

Pre-Employment Requirements

• Background check and motor vehicle report review.
• Valid driver’s license and endorsements as required.
• Medical evaluation and drug screen.
• Required safety certification and testing annually.

Physical Requirements

• Primarily works in an office environment.
• Frequent sitting for extended periods.
• Frequent use of a computer keyboard and office equipment.
• Occasional standing, walking, lifting, stooping, or bending.
• Must pass color/vision examinations.
• Must be able to hear and distinguish auditory signals.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $110,000.00 - $160,000.00.
