Responsibilities

• Civil design, landfill and transfer station design, stormwater design, and site layout
• Engineering analyses such as slope stability, hydrologic and landfill gas modeling, seismic, and seepage
• Preparation of permit applications, design calculations, drawings, technical specifications, and permit applications
• Fieldwork associated with investigation, design and construction services
• Small to mid-size project/task management
• Apply an understanding of local, state and federal regulations related to solid waste and stormwater to tasks
• Aid in the development of proposals and other business development activities
• Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of related experience (7+ preferred), or equivalent combination of education and experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Demonstrated interest in solid waste
• Strong oral and technical writing skills
• Excellent writing and communication skills
• Experience with modeling/design tools such as GeoStudio, Slide, Settle3D, Golden Software, and/or HELP (preferred)
• Regular fieldwork and overnight travel (required)
• Ability to lead field and office tasks with senior support (required)

Skills

• Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)

Pay

The typical base pay range for this position is just one component of Geosyntec’s total compensation package for employees. Actual compensation will be determined based on education, experience, skill set and location. Minimum Salary: $92,835/year / Maximum Salary: $139,310/year (Columbia, MD)
