Civil / Municipal Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed technical engineering reports.
• Prepare or modify plans, specifications, construction schedules, permits, and cost and quantity estimates for public works projects.
• Work with Construction Observers/Resident Technicians during all facets of construction.
• Assist Project Manager in completing project within budget and on schedule.
• Client contact including attendance at board or council meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years of civil engineering design experience preferred/desired.
• Illinois PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year preferred.
• Previous roadway, storm sewer, sanitary collection sewers and water distribution design experience desired.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Pay

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Illinois Pay Transparency Law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience. Salary Range: $91,000 - $129,443.
