Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed technical engineering reports.
- Prepare or modify plans, specifications, construction schedules, permits, and cost and quantity estimates for public works projects.
- Work with Construction Observers/Resident Technicians during all facets of construction.
- Assist Project Manager in completing project within budget and on schedule.
- Client contact including attendance at board or council meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering required.
- Minimum 10 years of civil engineering design experience preferred/desired.
- Illinois PE license or ability to obtain within 1 year preferred.
- Previous roadway, storm sewer, sanitary collection sewers and water distribution design experience desired.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

Pay
- The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Illinois Pay Transparency Law.
- Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
- Salary Range: $91,000 - $129,443
