Civil Litigation Paralegal

Civica Law Group, APC is seeking a certified paralegal with 3+ years of civil litigation experience for our Irvine, California office. The position focuses on defending public entities in litigated matters, including general liability, dangerous conditions, civil rights, and police liability.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with litigation attorneys to manage cases by calendaring and monitoring deadlines.
• Assist with drafting pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Prepare discovery and medical record summaries.
• Communicate with vendors such as court reporters and experts.
• Assist with preparation for hearings and trials as needed.

Requirements

• Paralegal certificate or degree in applicable paralegal studies.
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Proactive, versatile, and adaptable with solid organizational, writing, and analytical skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to think and operate independently to solve unique issues.
• Interest in local government and public safety.
• Hard-working, positive, and service-oriented character.
