Civil Litigation Attorney

About the role

Civil litigation attorney needed for a law firm that represents 150+ water districts in Oklahoma and nationwide, and many other businesses and individuals, including physicians, in business and litigation-related matters. The firm generally does not represent clients in criminal, personal injury, bankruptcy, or divorce/family law-related matters.

Depending on experience, the position would involve all aspects of civil litigation, including:

• Researching and writing briefs
• Taking depositions
• Communicating with clients and opposing counsel
• Attending and presenting arguments at hearings
• Preparing discovery requests and responses
• Trial

The job responsibilities and tasks would likely expand with experience.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
• Being a great writer and communicator
• Having a good attitude
• Adaptability and ability to handle a heavy workload without constant supervision
• Willingness to adapt and handle challenging situations

A certain number of years of experience is not required.
