Civil Litigation Attorney

We are a well-established Miami law firm looking for an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney with 7+ years of experience to join our team.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned litigator who wants to handle sophisticated matters, take ownership of a significant caseload, and play a key role in developing successful strategies for clients.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a significant caseload from inception through resolution
• Handle complex civil litigation matters in state and federal court
• Develop and execute strategic litigation plans focused on achieving strong client outcomes
• Handle matters involving 42 U.S.C. §1983 claims and medical malpractice defense
• Take an active role in discovery, depositions, motion practice, hearings, mediation, and trial preparation
• Maintain strong client relationships and provide strategic legal advice

Requirements

• 7+ years of civil litigation experience
• Significant federal court and complex litigation experience
• Experience with 42 U.S.C. §1983 matters and/or medical malpractice defense
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage a substantial litigation docket
• Strong legal writing, analytical, and courtroom skills
• Currently practicing and comfortable working in a billable-hour environment
• Portable book of business is a plus, but not required
