Civil Litigation Attorney
About the Role
We have an immediate opening for an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney. Applicants should have solid litigation and/or labor & employment experience and must be prepared to assume an active caseload from start to finish, including propounding and responding to discovery, taking and defending depositions, drafting and appearing for motions, trial preparation, court appearances, and client/carrier reporting. We are seeking attorneys who are strong problem solvers and can efficiently manage a full caseload with Partner supervision. The ideal candidate will actively handle litigation matters and resolve legal disputes on behalf of clients by managing cases from inception through resolution. The attorney will build and maintain positive client relationships while providing an excellent client experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal support and advice to clients
- Manage cases from inception through trial and/or appeal, as necessary
- Maintain positive client relationships
- Prepare legal reports and documents
- Propound and respond to discovery
- Draft and appear for law and motion matters
- Take and defend depositions
- Handle client reporting
- Prepare cases for trial
Qualifications
- Active California Bar admission and in good standing
- Minimum 5 years of litigation and/or labor & employment experience
- Strong civil litigation knowledge
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Trial experience is a plus
- Proactive, responsive, responsible, and accountable
- Ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with coworkers and clients
Pay
$150,000 - $200,000 per year
