Civil Litigation Attorney

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Litigation Associate Attorney to join one of our client firms. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney with 2–6 years of litigation experience who is looking to grow within a collaborative and fast-paced practice. The role offers hands-on litigation experience, direct client interaction, and the ability to manage cases through all stages of litigation.

Responsibilities

• Manage various phases of litigation for assigned cases
• Conduct all phases of discovery
• Appear before state and federal courts
• Perform legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and briefs
• Conduct depositions and develop facts
• Make legal arguments and report case updates to managing attorney and clients in defense of clients

Qualifications

• NC licensed civil litigation attorney with at least 2 years of related experience
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• Experience defending civil litigation claims with preference given for handling matters in construction litigation, products liability, professional liability, premises liability, and commercial litigation
• Experience handling discovery, motion practice, and depositions
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Trial preparation experience is a plus
