About the role

As a Litigation Attorney, you will manage a diverse caseload, guide clients through complex legal matters, and represent them vigorously in court. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation, excellent advocacy skills, and a passion for achieving justice for clients.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all phases of litigation from case inception through trial, including the development of case strategies, discovery, and settlement negotiations.
  • Meet with clients to understand their legal issues, provide legal advice, and develop effective strategies.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, trials, and arbitration proceedings, ensuring high-quality advocacy at all times.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to inform case strategy and support legal arguments.
  • Prepare a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests that are clear, concise, and persuasive.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and support staff to prepare trial materials, including witness lists, exhibit binders, and jury instructions.
  • Evaluate cases, identify issues, and provide recommendations for the best course of action.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, providing regular updates on case status and developments.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in California with a strong understanding of state and federal litigation procedures.
  • Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience, with a strong emphasis on personal injury or employment law cases.

Skills

  • Outstanding communication, negotiation, and courtroom skills, with strong legal writing ability.
  • Proven trial experience with the ability to assertively represent clients in high-stakes situations.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team as well as independently, while managing multiple cases effectively.

Pay

$120,000 - $170,000 annually, along with an attractive bonus structure.
