The Role

Hoffmann, Parker, Wilson & Carberry, P.C. is growing its civil litigation workload and adding an Associate Attorney to carry that capacity. This is a full-cycle litigation role: you will carry matters from initial case analysis through resolution, whether that means settlement, a hearing, or trial. You will work under the direction of experienced directors who trust you to drive the work, and you will own whole matters end to end.

If you want to build a long-term home in municipal civil litigation and do real, consequential work, this is that opportunity.

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of civil litigation experience, with real depth across the full lifecycle.
  • The 5-7 year range is the sweet spot, and candidates approaching 10+ years will be considered when the motivation for the move is clear.
  • Active Colorado Bar license in good standing. Non-negotiable, and independently verified via Colorado Supreme Court Attorney Registration and OARC before any interview invitation.
  • Strong legal research and writing skills. A writing sample is required and will be reviewed before the interview. It matters.
  • Oral advocacy experience. You have argued in court and are comfortable doing it; familiarity with Colorado case management under C.R.C.P. 16 is expected.
  • A balanced autonomous and collaborative work style. You meet your deadlines, manage your own matters, and do not need to be told what to do next, while contributing as an integral part of the litigation team and its outcomes.
  • The ability to handle full-cycle civil litigation independently, including case strategy, discovery, depositions, motions practice, and courtroom appearances.

Benefits

  • Compensation & Benefits: $125,000 - $180,000 DOQ plus bonus eligibility and annual raises.
  • Medical, dental, vision, life, AD&D, STD/LTD, and EAP.
  • 401(k) with 3.7% QNEC plus employer matching up to 2%.
  • Generous PTO and paid sick leave.
  • Annual monetary vacation bonus.
  • Supplemental parental and family bonding leave.
  • Paid parking at the downtown Denver office.
  • Hybrid schedule (primarily in-office initially; flexibility increases over time).
