Civil / Highway Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team in the New England area. This role offers opportunities to contribute to the design of civil engineering projects that support our clients, ensuring the safety, efficiency, and sustainability of transportation systems.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design of civil engineering projects to support clients
• Prepare plans, detail drawings, and quantity estimates for projects of various sizes and complexities
• Engage in design of highway & local roadway design, grading, site layout, stormwater management, drainage & grading, and multi-modal transportation designs
• Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to solve complex mobility challenges
• Ensure adherence to design and safety standards and best practices

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on roadway and utility design
• Familiarity with applicable design and safety standards
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
• Professional Engineer certification
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Attention to detail and exemplary work ethic
• Experience with MassDOT, MBTA, and Massachusetts municipalities
• Preferred experience with other New England state DOT’s
• Preferred proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation OpenRoads
• Candidates with at least one prior role in the AE industry preferred
• Local candidates given preference
