Civil Gas Engineer
About the role
We are currently searching for an experienced Civil Gas Engineer to support our Midwest Region located in Lexington, KY.
Responsibilities
- Design and oversee natural gas transmission and distribution systems
- Prepare and review engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for gas infrastructure projects
- Supervise technicians and drafters in preparing gas system plans
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Prepare and submit required documentation and permits
- Perform site inspections and monitor construction progress
- Use CAD and other engineering software for system design and modeling
- Communicate with stakeholders including city officials, contractors, and the public
- Provide technical support and training to junior staff
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain
- 1 – 3 years of experience in gas engineering or related field
- Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
Qualifications
- Pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment
- Valid driver’s license
- A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
