About the Role
A growing multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Project Manager (PE) to lead the planning, design, and delivery of municipal, county, state, and federal infrastructure projects throughout the Southeast.
This role offers an excellent opportunity for a licensed Professional Engineer who enjoys balancing project leadership with technical engineering. You'll oversee impactful infrastructure projects while collaborating with a talented team dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that improve the communities they serve.
Responsibilities
Project Leadership
- Manage multiple civil engineering projects through all phases of design and delivery.
- Develop and oversee project schedules, budgets, staffing, and deliverables.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.
- Lead project meetings and communicate project progress, budgets, and schedules.
- Coordinate engineers, designers, and technical staff to ensure high-quality project execution.
- Support proposal development, project pursuits, and long-term client relationship management.
Technical Engineering
- Provide technical oversight and quality assurance for civil infrastructure projects.
- Lead hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and stormwater management design.
- Oversee engineering solutions related to drainage, water, wastewater, and transportation infrastructure.
- Review engineering calculations, reports, plans, specifications, and permit applications.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain licensure in Florida or Alabama through reciprocity.
- 7–10 years of progressive civil engineering experience.
- Demonstrated success managing engineering projects, budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong technical background in municipal infrastructure, stormwater management, drainage, hydrology, and hydraulics.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and client relationship management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience delivering municipal, county, state, or federal infrastructure projects.
- Water, wastewater, or transportation engineering experience.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Experience using ICPR or other hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software.
