Civil Engineering Project Manager
About the role
Manage project teams to complete engineering tasks such as airspace and earthwork volume calculations, prepare and review technical reports, design stormwater management systems, leachate collection systems, and landfill gas collection systems, perform geotechnical analyses, and prepare landfill grading plans and project details and specifications.
Develop proposals, project budgets, and schedules, manage the engineering staff, and perform quality control. Interact with clients, contractors, and local/state government officials throughout the project lifecycle, from conceptual and design phases to regulatory review, bidding, and construction.
Mentor and assist in the professional development of the staff, including conducting annual reviews and establishing development goals. Work with senior management teams to customize individual career paths through various professional development and mentoring activities.
Responsibilities

Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in Civil Engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license required.
- Proficient in technical software and Civil Engineering technology, including AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software, and geotechnical modeling software.
- Established clients/contacts in the Solid Waste client sector.
- Experience in scope of service and budget (proposal) development, and demonstrated ability to manage projects profitably.
- Experience in coordinating the regulatory agency review process.
Qualifications
- Ability to manage project portfolios in excess of $250,000 in annual professional fee revenues.
- Experience in communicating with staff, clients, contractors, and government regulatory officials.
Skills
- Technical software proficiency (AutoCAD Civil 3D, hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software, geotechnical modeling software).
- Project management and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
