CIVIL ENGINEERING INTERNSHIPS (SITE CIVIL, STRUCTURAL, TRANSPORTATION)

Responsibilities

• Work on real projects with our engineers and designers, receiving mentorship and feedback.
• Provide general CAD drafting and design support for engineers, architects, surveyors, and land planners.
• Provide exceptional customer service by promptly responding to clients.
• Create final construction drawing packages for the wide array of projects.
• Audit and apply quality control review processes to ensure accuracy and quality of work.
• Advocate for clients to help them efficiently navigate municipality approval.
• Collaborate and problem-solve with project managers and professional engineers.
• Coordinate with a variety of individuals involved in the development process.
• Perform administrative-type duties as required, such as copying and collating plans and preparing/delivering submittals.
• Participate in department goal setting and accomplishments, book reviews, and personal and team development.

Qualifications

• Current civil engineering student.
• Adaptability and willingness to follow FOCUS CAD drafting standards and procedures.
• Competence in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Bluebeam, and Adobe Acrobat is an advantage.
• High level of integrity and ability to self-motivate and work productively with little to no supervision.
• Willingness to understand and align with FOCUS values.

Pay

Internship salary: $18.00 per hour.

Schedule

Very flexible to work around your school schedule but we do prefer 12-15 hours per week while in school and full-time in the summer.
