Civil Engineering Designer, Transit and Rail -
Key Responsibilities
- Support our Transit and Rail Group with the production of drawings, layouts, maps, corridor and 3D modeling, and graphic representations of engineering designs using Bentley OpenRoads / OpenRail.
- Maintain, develop and direct efficient workflows within client specific CADD standards and workspaces.
- Create concept plans and construction plan sets including site layout, track, grading, drainage, utilities, and roads.
- Create design details, schematics, and engineering specifications.
- Collaborate with other project teams, such as structural, architectural, and geotechnical.
- Prepare quantity and cost estimates.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction science or Associate degree in Engineering Technology / CAD.
- Experience reading and understanding construction drawings and engineering concepts.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Comfortable working on fast-paced projects.
- Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational traits.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software and communication tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) license or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment.
- Interest in transit and rail projects.
- Experience with 3D design software Bentley OpenRoads / OpenRail and document management infrastructure such as ProjectWise.
- 11-3 years’ experience, industry related particularly with civil design and drafting of rail and related projects.

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated Civil Engineering Designer to join our Transit and Rail Group located in Denver. For exceptional and experienced candidates, remote work will be considered outside of office locations.

Flexible 9/80 (every other Friday off) work schedule.

Expected pay range $75 -107k based on experience and location.
