Overview

Kimley-Horn is seeking Engineering graduates to join its Lake Norman, NC office in 2026. This position is not remote.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software programs regularly to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
  • Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize clients' visions.
  • Develop familiarity with relevant federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and client-specific practices, procedures, and standards.
  • Learn one or more software programs specific to your discipline: AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, and/or GIS.

Qualifications

  • An ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2026 in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.
