Civil Engineer - Water/Wastewater

About the role

MECO Engineering is seeking a dedicated and experienced Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our team. This role will involve designing and managing complex water and wastewater projects, working closely with clients, and ensuring all project deliverables meet the highest standards. The ideal candidate will be a skilled communicator, able to navigate client interactions and project management duties effectively, while also providing guidance and mentorship to junior engineers within the team.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage water and/or wastewater projects, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction.
• Attend necessary meetings and maintain effective communication between the firm and clients.
• Collaborate with team members and work independently to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure projects stay on schedule, meet client expectations, and progress effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional engineering experience in water/wastewater design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other relevant software.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience with project management tools and methodologies.

Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Missouri or willing to obtain one.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations related to water/wastewater systems.
• Experience with water/wastewater treatment processes and systems.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
