Responsibilities

  • Contribute across civil design, technical documentation, project coordination, and construction-phase support.
  • Prepare designs and calculations, develop civil design documents, drawings, specifications, and calculations for water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Support project delivery, assist project managers with scope, schedule, coordination, documentation, and construction-phase needs.
  • Cook up multidisciplinary teams to integrate civil design considerations into broader project solutions.
  • Develop technical documentation, write technical reports, maintain organized project records, and document design decisions clearly.
  • Manage defined tasks or small projects, participate in internal and external meetings, and follow through on commitments.
  • Provide design support from conception to construction to help resolve questions, clarify intent, and maintain project momentum.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
  • Experience: 6+ years of civil engineering experience required; water and wastewater project experience preferred.
  • Design knowledge: Experience with site design, including layout, grading, drainage, and water/wastewater piping design preferred.
  • Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license in Virginia required.
  • Technical tools: Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
  • Standards and communication: Working knowledge of applicable industry standards, codes, and regulations, along with strong technical writing and communication skills.

Pay

Salary range for this position is anticipated to be $110,000 to $153,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications and geographic location.
