Education
- Employee must possess one of the following: An ABET-accredited bachelor's degree (or higher) in any engineering field
- A bachelors degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university in construction management, civil engineering technology, mechanical engineering technology, or electrical engineering technology
Experience
- Employee must demonstrate they meet the following experience requirement:
- At least two (2) years of experience in the field of civil engineering, including a minimum of one (1) year of experience in design or construction project administration, development of project scopes of work to include preparation of drawings and specifications, and/or construction or engineering services contract administration.
Licenses/Credentials
- Employee must possess or obtain the following licenses/credentials within the time frames specified:
- A valid drivers license at the time of application, and a valid Colorado drivers license within 30 days of employment
- Licenses restrictions that may hinder your ability to drive on City business, such as an interlock, will be cause for disqualification
- During the course of employment, a valid license must be maintained, and the employee must notify the City immediately upon changes to the status of their license
- Ability to obtain licensure as a professional engineer from the State of Colorado within five (5) years of appointment
- Within one year of appointment, obtain a Colorado Class 1 Wastewater Collection Operator certificate or higher
- Within two years of appointment, obtain a Colorado Class D Wastewater Treatment Operator certificate or higher
