We’re looking for a skilled Traffic Project Manager to join our growing transportation team in the Twin Cities. Responsibilities
- Lead and manage traffic engineering and transportation projects—keeping scope, schedule, budget, and quality on track
- Serve as a day-to-day client contact for public agencies including MnDOT, counties, and municipalities
- Prepare and negotiate contract documents
- Collaborate with project teams across disciplines and office locations
- Support and mentor less-experienced traffic engineering staff
- Contribute to proposals and marketing pursuits for transportation projects
- Participate in professional organizations at the local, state, or national level
- Provide input to leadership on business planning, workload, and resource needs
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with an emphasis in transportation/traffic engineering
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Minnesota (or capable of getting reciprocity within first six months of employment)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in traffic engineering, with exposure to project management and client-facing work
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Willingness to occasionally travel to support projects or team needs
- A valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Qualifications
- Experience or strong interest in traffic analysis and modeling tools such as HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, VISSIM, SIDRA, or similar
- Experience with traffic signal design, operations, and timing/phasing
- Experience with Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) design
- Experience with traffic impact analyses, operational analyses, and corridor or intersection modeling
- Experience with multimodal planning involving pedestrians, bicycles, or transit
- Experience with work zone traffic control and transportation management plans
- Experience with safety data evaluation and countermeasure development
- Experience with CAD platforms including AutoCAD or MicroStation
- Specialty credentials such as PTOE or RSP are a plus

Pay
A salary range for this posting is $105,000 - $150,000. The individual selected for this role will be evaluated with the compensation factors in mind and placed appropriately.
