Civil Engineer (Structural/Geotechnical)

About the role

The Civil Engineer is involved with the design of municipal infrastructure, highways, railways, transit systems, airports, harbors, bridges, tunnels, buildings, water supply, and sewage treatment facilities. The position reports to the Senior Engineer. The Design Engineer must be a team player with experience in heavy civil construction.

Responsibilities

• Design of heavy civil infrastructure projects including municipal infrastructure, highways, railways, transit systems, airports, harbors, bridges, tunnels, buildings, water supply, and sewage treatment facilities.

Requirements

• Proficiency in structural software such as STAAD Pro, RISA, or SAP 2000, or geotechnical software such as CivilTech or PLAXIS, and AutoCAD software.
• Sound knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals, structural and soil mechanics.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or a related field with a focus in structural or geotechnical engineering.
• Coursework or internship experience in structural or geotechnical design preferred.
• 2+ years of heavy civil infrastructure industry experience is preferred.

Pay

Salary range: USD $91,500.00 – $137,000.00 per year. Background check required.
