Responsibilities

• Supports project team in development of design documentation, plans, and reports for relevant project design elements.
• Prepares and revises documentation required for land development permitting through local, state and federal jurisdictions.
• Performs quality reviews for documents in various project phases including construction plans, reviewing agency submittal packages, and engineering calculation reports.
• Assists in preparing engineering calculation reports including but not limited to: stormwater design, potable water design, sanitary sewer design, and irrigation design.
• Attends project coordination meetings with internal team members and/or external consultants.
• Takes sufficient notes at all meetings in order to organize efforts and follow through with requested deliverables.
• Collaborates with other disciplines to ensure entire design team has same design intent and is on schedule.
• Coordinates and keeps consistent communication with other disciplines to ensure entire design team has same design intent and is on schedule.
• Prepares and coordinates submittals to permitting entities.
• Aids in the review of shop drawings and submittals, responds to request for information, prepares site observation reports, and performs other construction administration tasks.
• Aids in the evaluation and selection of civil systems and materials.
• Participates in value engineering and basic cost estimating.
• Performs calculations to analyze and design civil system components using company standard software and proprietary manufacturer software.
• Reads and interprets technical drawings and specifications.
• Performs field observations and measurements.
• Assists in the preparation of construction documents and specifications.
