Civil Engineer - Senior Technical

About the Role

A Senior Technical Engineer is needed to oversee land development projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality deliverables within scope, budget, and timeline. This role involves direct project execution, leadership, and mentoring of junior staff members, primarily focusing on retail, commercial, and residential land development projects. The position requires collaboration with municipal agencies and multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Site Layout
• Grading and Earthwork calculations
• Storm Water Management Design and Permitting
• Erosion and Sedimentation Control Design and Permitting
• Preparation and Submission of Local Land Development Permits
• Quality Assurance
• Mentoring and Development of Junior Staff

Qualifications

• 8+ years of civil or utility-related engineering experience
• PE License in the state of work (preferred)
• Expertise in site layout, grading, storm water, and erosion control design
• Civil-related utility design expertise
• Trenchless technology design expertise
• Construction/constructability expertise related to design drawings and resolution of field issues
• Foundation/geotechnical experience and understanding
• Specification writing
• Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers
• Excellent communication skills
