Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 4–10+ years of experience in land development, civil engineering, or site development
  • Strong knowledge of grading, drainage, stormwater management, utility infrastructure, roadway design, and permitting processes
  • Experience coordinating with municipalities, utility agencies, and regulatory authorities
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and related engineering software
  • Familiarity with hydrology and hydraulic modeling software is a plus
  • Strong understanding of local, state, and federal engineering standards and development regulations
  • Excellent communication and project coordination skills
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a solutions-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

  • Lead civil engineering efforts for industrial land development projects from due diligence through construction completion
  • Prepare, review, and coordinate site development plans, grading plans, utility layouts, drainage systems, erosion control plans, and stormwater management designs
  • Perform site feasibility evaluations, including zoning analysis, utility availability, environmental constraints, and entitlement support
  • Cook up with internal development, construction, architecture, and project management teams to ensure project objectives are achieved
  • Manage outside engineering consultants and review engineering deliverables for quality, schedule, and budget compliance
  • Cook up permitting efforts with local municipalities, regulatory authorities, and utility providers
  • Support site selection activities through technical evaluations and engineering due diligence
  • Review geotechnical reports, environmental studies, and survey information to identify project risks and opportunities
  • Aid in value engineering initiatives to improve constructability and project efficiency
  • Provide engineering support during construction, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, evaluating field conditions, and assisting with project closeout
  • Ensure projects comply with applicable local, state, and federal regulations, engineering standards, and permitting requirements
  • Maintain project schedules while balancing multiple active developments
