About the role
This position will collaborate with team members to design residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Technical tasks include but not limited to conceptual site layout, utility design; roadway design; site grading design; storm drain design; storm water management design; water and sanitary sewer main design; soil erosion and sedimentation control design; floodplain studies; permitting and entitlement support; and construction support.
Responsibilities
- Designs site plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Prepares conceptual grading analyses and site layout.
- Prepares and computes, but not limited to due diligence/site analysis reports, engineer opinion of probable costs, utility computations, detention/retention computations, storm water reports, earthwork analysis.
- Aids in production of final construction drawings.
- Prepares permit applications for applicable municipal agencies.
- Aids project managers as requested.
- Affords assistance with client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
- Works closely with other disciplines on multi-discipline projects.
- Attends client and public meetings- days or evenings.
- Participates in business development efforts as requested.
Requirements
- Outstanding Interpersonal skills, ability to interact with a variety of people.
- Adaptable and able to respond quickly and accurately under pressure. Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be fluent in the English language.
- Available to work nights and weekends to complete projects as necessary.
- Proficient in MS office. AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university.
- 0-2 years related experience.
Physical Demand
- Sit and talk or hear.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Outside weather conditions, possibly for extended assignments.
Pay Range
$67,000 USD - $80,400 USD
