About the role

Arcadis is seeking a Civil Engineer to support its operations in the Southeast region. The role can be based in Cary, Charlotte, or Greensboro, North Carolina. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for site civil design and project management tasks for various projects, including industrial, pharmaceutical, and municipal facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform site civil design and project management tasks for a variety of projects in the region.
  • Lead site civil design and permitting efforts for industrial, pharmaceutical, and municipal facilities, including water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and utility transmission and distribution projects.
  • Manage the planning, design, and permitting process to ensure compliance with contracts, drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and Arcadis quality and safety standards.
  • Communicate with clients, establish clear goals and objectives for project teams, and coordinate resources and schedules to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in alignment with client expectations.
  • Provide technical expertise on multi-disciplined projects as a design leader, QA/QC reviewer, or technical advisor.
  • Navigate local and state permitting requirements to obtain regulatory approval for projects.
  • Supervise and support the work of others while mentoring junior level engineers and technical staff.
  • Work directly with clients to determine needs and deliver solutions, and lead the growth of client relationships with target clients.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8 years or more of experience in site civil projects.
  • BS degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • PE License in North Carolina.
  • Experience in land development projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
  • Client-facing experience and ability to develop contacts and relationships.
  • Ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and manage multiple assignments.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $110,000 - $150,000/year. Actual salaries will vary based on experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
