About the role
Psomas is seeking Engineering Interns to join our Salt Lake City team. As an engineering intern you will contribute to real‑world projects, collaborate with experienced professionals, and gain exposure to the diverse disciplines within a multidisciplinary engineering and environmental consulting firm. This is an opportunity to apply classroom learning while building technical skills and a professional network.
Responsibilities
- Support engineers and project teams with design, calculations, analysis, and technical documentation.
- Assist with plans, specifications, reports, exhibits, and other project deliverables.
- Gain experience with software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation/OpenRoads.
- Participate in site visits, field observations, data collection, and research.
- Collaborate with professionals across land development, transportation, water, environmental, surveying, and planning.
- Learn how engineering principles are applied to real‑world infrastructure and development projects.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Transportation, Water Resources, or a related discipline.
- Strong interest in engineering, infrastructure, development, transportation, water, or environmental services.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and willingness to learn.
- Previous internship or project experience is a plus, but not required.

Schedule
Flexible schedule: in‑office Monday through Thursday and remote on Fridays.
