About the role

The Land Development Business Unit at David Evans and Associates is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training in one of our Washington offices in Everett, WA.

Responsibilities

  • Apply civil engineering principles to assigned projects while working under close and immediate supervision
  • Support the preparation of design plans and construction documents for a variety of projects, including site layout, grading and drainage, paving, and utilities
  • Contribute to the development of water quality reports and drainage studies, including performing basic hydraulic and hydrologic calculations
  • Perform calculations and assist with specifications, cost estimates, and permitting applications
  • Identify and resolve design issues with guidance from project team members
  • Cook up and expand technical skills and industry knowledge through hands-on project experience and mentorship

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • 0-2 years of relevant design experience in land development projects, including commercial, residential, public works, institutional, or industrial developments
  • Demonstrated proficiency with AutoCAD or Civil 3D and the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Pay

  • Potential salary range: $75,000/year - $85,000/year
