About the role
Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Civil Engineer III with an emphasis in Water Resources.
Responsibilities
- Assist with managing civil/water resources study and design projects.
- Develop hydrologic and hydraulic models of stormwater systems.
- Prepare drainage studies and stormwater masterplans.
- Analysis and design of municipal neighborhood improvements including stormwater facilities (open channels, culverts, storm sewers, detention basins, etc.).
- Address resiliency, LID, Sea Level Rise, and climate change impacts in design.
- Preparation of plans and specifications for construction.
- Performing quality control of stormwater models, reports, and/or design.
- Permitting with local, state, and federal permitting agencies.
Requirements
- 4-year B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, with emphasis in water resources engineering preferred.
- Florida P.E. License required (or the ability to obtain through reciprocity).
- Must-have qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in the design of civil projects.
- Knowledge of basic principles of infrastructure design and plan preparation.
- Expertise in hydrology and hydraulics.
- Expertise with H&H modeling (– Stormwise/ICPR preferred).
- Experience in consulting engineering, public works, or construction.
- Excellent technical writing skills.
- Strong verbal, computer, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to travel throughout Baxter & Woodman service area (own transportation).
- Experience with AutoCAD (Civil 3D is preferred) and ArcGIS is a plus.
Qualifications
- Education/Certification Requirements:

Benefits
Compensation: The pay range for this role is $100,000-$130,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
