About the role

Arcadis is seeking a Civil Engineer to support its operations in the Mid-Atlantic Region. The role can be based at one of the following offices: Richmond, VA, Virginia Beach, VA, Hanover, MD, Washington DC, Philadelphia, PA, or Wilmington, DE.

Responsibilities

  • Perform site civil design and project management tasks for various projects, including site layouts, grading, hydraulic modeling, utility design, stormwater management, erosion and sediment control design, and project coordination.
  • Lead site civil design and permitting efforts for municipal and industrial facilities, such as water/wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and utility transmission and distribution projects.
  • Manage the planning, design, and permitting process to ensure compliance with contracts, drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and Arcadis quality and safety standards.
  • Communicate with clients, establish clear goals and objectives for project teams, and coordinate resources and schedules to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in alignment with client expectations.
  • Provide technical expertise on multi-disciplined projects as a design leader, QA/QC reviewer, or technical advisor.
  • Navigate local and state permitting requirements to obtain regulatory approval for projects.
  • Supervise and support the work of others while mentoring junior level engineers and technical staff.
  • Work directly with clients to determine needs and deliver solutions, and lead the growth of client relationships with target clients.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 8 years or more of experience in site civil projects.
  • BS degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • PE License preferred.
  • Experience in land development projects.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
  • Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.
  • Client-facing experience and ability to develop contacts and relationships.
  • Ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $145,000/year. Actual salaries will vary based on experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
