About the role
This is a Civil Engineer position, GS-0810-09/11 position with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Little Rock District in Engineering and Construction Division. It is a non-supervisory vacancy which will be filled at GS-09 or GS-11 grade level. Duty Location is Little Rock, AR.
Responsibilities
- Conducts engineering studies and analyses to determine feasibility and cost-effectiveness of proposed projects.
- Develops and implements construction plans and specifications.
- Coordinates with contractors and other engineers to ensure project compliance with design standards and regulations.
- Ensures adherence to environmental protection and safety protocols during construction activities.
- Monitors project progress and makes adjustments as necessary to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
- Prepares reports and presentations on project status and recommendations for management.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Five years of progressively responsible professional engineering experience.
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in Arkansas or ability to obtain within 1 year of appointment.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering software.
- Experience with project management software such as Primavera P6.
- Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations.

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $72,270 to $125,070 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
