Civil Engineer

About the role

We’re looking for a Civil Engineer to support ongoing facility and infrastructure work at a large industrial site in Lima, OH. This role is hands-on and coordination-heavy — you’ll be reviewing work orders, walking the plant floor, and helping keep projects moving on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Review Construction Work Orders (CWOs) tied to plant equipment, infrastructure, and facilities work
• Stay on top of assigned projects — track scope, progress, and day-to-day status
• Maintain oversight of project execution to ensure alignment with requirements and timely completion
• Conduct regular walkthroughs of the plant to check progress and flag any issues
• Provide updates to leadership
• Identify facility or infrastructure problems and help recommend practical solutions
• Work closely with government CORs and GDLS to keep communication clear and expectations aligned
• Track and report project metrics
• Attend and coordinate with stakeholders via Teams, email, and phone

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering (or related field)
• Active Secret clearance (must-have)
• Experience supporting construction, facilities, or infrastructure projects
• Comfortable reviewing technical documentation and tracking project progress
• Strong communication skills — this role interacts with multiple teams daily

Qualifications

• Nice to have: Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Nice to have: Background supporting government or defense-related projects
• Nice to have: Familiarity with CWOs or similar project tracking systems
