Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and review of civil design plans, engineering details, reports, and technical exhibits using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Oversee the integration of legal descriptions, survey data, and aerial imagery into final engineering plans, ensuring accuracy across large, multi-stakeholder projects.
- Direct and validate the digitization of as-built civil, utility, and structural drawings; establish QA processes to maintain drawing fidelity across project phases.
- Conduct and supervise field investigations, physical site surveys, utility mapping efforts, subsurface data collection, and engineering documentation.
- Provide senior oversight of survey measurements, property boundary determinations, and alignment verification for critical guidance systems.
- Ensure tunnel and field survey guidance systems remain accurate, calibrated, and operational.
- Own survey equipment inventory, maintenance schedules, and operational readiness across multiple active jobsites.
- Produce high-quality progress reports (daily, weekly, monthly), escalate risks, and communicate technical decisions clearly to leadership and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
- Anywhere from 1-10 years of experience in civil engineering (the role seniority will be determined based on your experience).
- Advanced proficiency with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Plans to obtain, or active Civil Engineering PE license (any state is fine, as long as you can transfer to our relevant states - NV, TX, TN, FL).

- Surveying experience and demonstrated ability to lead field operations.
- Experience in working with engineering teams, field technicians, and external partners.
- Strong problem-solving instincts, technical judgment, and ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence cross-disciplinary teams and drive decisions.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a strong sense of urgency and ownership.
Additional Requirements
- Position may require extended hours and weekend work.
- Able to travel for short and extended trips as needed.
- Up to 20% travel.
- Able to work outdoors and in confined spaces.
