Primary Responsibilities
- Design and analyze structural and civil systems for government and institutional facilities, including foundations, framing, slabs, retaining walls, and support structures
- Prepare and review construction drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical criteria in compliance with Federal, State, and Local codes and public-sector standards
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including architects and MEP, civil, and geotechnical engineers to integrate structural and site designs across complex projects
- Perform structural modeling, material selection, cost estimating, and quantity takeoffs using industry-standard software such as Revit, SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, SAFE, Bluebeam, and RSMeans
- Support construction administration through site visits, shop drawing reviews, RFIs, inspections, and verification of conformance with design intent
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, Civil Engineering or Architecture degree from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)
- 8+ years of experience in design and construction of commercial or institutional facilities
- Masters degree and 6+ years of relevant experience
- Current and relevant knowledge of building codes
- Experience using Microsoft Office suite
- Proficiency in engineering analysis and design software tools
- Ability to obtain and maintain public trust suitability
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to create and edit project drawings in AutoCAD
- Understanding of the National Airspace System components within an air route traffic control center (ARTCC)
- Registered Professional Engineer in good standing in the United States
About the Role
This is a hybrid position with approximately 2 days per week in office. Must be located in College Park, GA area.
